Reward Expiration in MapleStory Classic World by U4GM
MapleStory Classic World's The Journey Begins event rewards a steady routine, but its account-wide daily limit makes timing more important than a long single session. You can think about MapleStory Global Mesos as a separate part of your resource planning: event progress depends on collecting Maple Leaves yourself. The event runs from October 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM UTC through November 18 at 11:59 PM UTC. To participate, speak with the Maple Administrator in Henesys or Kerning City using a character at level 10 or higher.
Plan Around the Account-Wide Check-In
Each check-in costs 30 Maple Leaves, and an account can check in only once per day. Completing all 14 check-ins therefore requires 420 leaves across at least 14 different days. Switching characters cannot create an extra daily check-in, although it may give you another way to hunt. Leaves cannot be traded, so collecting them remains your own responsibility. The event covers 29 calendar dates, but the opening date begins at 6:00 PM UTC rather than running for a full day. Missing a day does not reset your progress, yet waiting too long leaves fewer opportunities to finish.
For the daily collection, focus on monsters at level 10 or higher. Snails, slimes and Orange Mushrooms do not qualify, so a convenient low-level map may leave you short of the required leaves. Line 1 Area 1 near Kerning City has level 15 Bubblings, while Ant Tunnel III near Sleepywood has Zombie Mushrooms and Horny Mushrooms. Pick the area your character can handle reliably rather than assuming either location has a better drop rate. If a suitable hunting session produces more than 30 leaves, keep the account-wide limit in mind when planning later check-ins.
Match Expiring Rewards to Your Plans
The first check-in provides a Snail pet, 30 Pet Food, 30 Red Potions and 30 Blue Potions. The remaining rewards arrive in sequence: three Safety Charms, 20 Blue Potions, a Regular Store Permit, five Return Scrolls, three Megaphones, 20 Cakes, three Atmospheric Effect Boxes, 20 Blue Potions, three Safety Charms, 20 Cakes, another Regular Store Permit, three Megaphones and two Item Megaphones. The pet lasts only until the event ends and cannot be revived. Pet Food lasts 30 days, many other rewards expire after seven days, and the Red and Blue Potions are permanent. Some rewards can be traded within the world, but the pet, Safety Charms, Store Permits and Megaphones cannot. Check each reward's expiry before saving it for a later session.
Players at level 25 or higher can also visit Jay in Henesys for The Marks We Leave Behind. Its six quests lead to the tradable Mark of the Beta hat, which has 24 weapon defense, one point in each main stat and seven upgrade slots. For another option, Coconut Harvest takes place with Paul in Lith Harbor on November 6 from midnight to 2:00 AM UTC; participants receive an Event Trophy, and winners receive an exchangeable Scroll of Secrets that opens for a random reward. From October 28 through November 18, eligible monsters can also drop Halloween Candies. If your time is limited, combine candy hunting with leaf collection rather than relying on GMSCW Mesos to cover the check-in requirement; neither leaves nor daily progress can be transferred between accounts.
